The Cafeteria Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well stocked cafeteria environment for team members while supporting basic food preparation and receiving operations. This role ensures that food and beverage stations are replenished, dining areas remain presentable, and simple menu items are prepared according to established standards. The position also plays a key role in receiving and organizing food deliveries for the broader Food & Beverage operation.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafeteria, including dining areas, service stations, and back-of-house spaces
- Replenish food, beverages, utensils, and supplies throughout service periods
- Prepare simple food items such as reheating, assembling, or portioning items according to established recipes and guidelines
- Assist with basic food prep, including washing, cutting, and organizing ingredients
- Ensure all stations are fully stocked, fresh, and visually appealing at all times
- Clear tables, sanitize surfaces, and manage waste and recycling in accordance with health standards
- Assist with dishwashing and proper storage of clean wares
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming food deliveries for the Food & Beverage department, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas, including coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- Monitor product quality and report low inventory, discrepancies, or maintenance needs to leadership
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Provide a welcoming and helpful presence for team members utilizing the cafeteria
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or receiving preferred
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety, food handling, and storage practices
- Ability to follow simple recipes and preparation guidelines
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–40 lbs
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
