JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. BASIC FUNCTION: The Server is responsible for providing prompt and courteous service for every guest.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

One years restaurant experience preferred

High volume experience.

Good food and service knowledge.

Basic Cocktail and Liquor knowledge.

Pleasant personality.

Excellent communication skills.

Complete ServSafe Food Handler Certification

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Interact with guests to take drink and food orders.

Communicate with kitchen for food ordering.

Ensure prompt delivery of food to the guests’ tables.

Have working knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and food that is served at the property. Suggest pairings of food to wine or beer.

Handle all checks and cash according to procedures.

Ensure cleanliness of restaurant including polished flatware, clean glassware and plates.

Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.

Responsible for cash handling and bank procedures as outlined by the Accounting Department

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds

Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.

Help in other areas of the restaurant, including seating guests.

ENVIRONMENT: Indoors and Outdoors, dimly lit, carpeted, climate controlled environment. Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot china & silver. Cemented and carpet floors, might encounter uneven surfaces.
