The Director of Food & Beverage performs a critical role on the hotel's team and is directly responsible for oversight, performance, and profitability of the restaurant, bar, and/or banquet operations. What you'll be doing...
The Director of Food and Beverage leads the overall strategy and operations of food and beverage services to ensure the highest standards of quality, service, cleanliness, sales achievement, and profitability. This role oversees multiple outlets, including restaurants, bars, banquet operations, culinary teams (in collaboration with the Executive Chef), and room service. Additionally, the Director is responsible for recruiting and building a high-performing team that drives innovation, supports the resort's objectives, and ensures guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate for this position...
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in food and beverage operations.
- Proven track record of strategic success in sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and employee development.
- Experience with luxury brands/markets
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Positive and approachable personality with the ability to inspire and engage teams.
- Develop and execute an annual strategic plan to enhance all aspects of the food and beverage business, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Continuously evaluate and refine strategies to improve food quality, service levels, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Partner with key stakeholders, including the Executive Chef, to innovate and enhance menu offerings and service experiences.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of restaurants, bars, banquet spaces, and room service to maintain high-quality standards.
- Conduct team meetings to address challenges, share recommendations, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, payroll, and daily revenue to ensure profitability.
- Schedule and forecast staffing levels based on business needs and occupancy levels.
- Recruit, hire, and train team members to build a cohesive and high-performing food and beverage team.
- Provide ongoing coaching, counseling, and development opportunities to staff and leadership teams.
- Conduct monthly meetings to communicate expectations, celebrate successes, and address areas for improvement.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
- Foster a welcoming and efficient atmosphere for both staff and guests.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to plan and promote events, promotions, and new initiatives.
- Track and analyze payroll, revenue, and expenses to meet budget goals.
- Maintain profitability through effective forecasting and cost-control measures
