Where Flame, Craft, and Ambition Meet

In a city that gave the world flight, one kitchen is giving culinary careers real lift. At Bistecca in Dayton, Ohio, the sizzle of a perfectly seared steak isn’t just sound — it’s the sound of opportunity. Here, in the heart of a city built by innovators and dreamers, we’re searching for a culinary talent ready to turn technique into artistry, and a job into a career.

Dayton has always been a city of invention — the birthplace of aviation, home to a thriving downtown renaissance, and a community that takes pride in doing things boldly and well. Bistecca channels that same spirit in every dish: bold flavors, refined technique, and a dedication to craftsmanship that turns a simple cut of meat into an unforgettable experience.

  • Prepare food of consistently high quality by following recipes and special instructions while upholding portion and production standards
  • Follow proper food safety protocols, including date marking, rotation, and temperature control
  • Anticipate kitchen needs and initiate food preparation proactively
  • Store and handle all food products properly, both during and after use
  • Support efforts to reduce waste and maintain food control standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, mixers, slicers, ovens, and flat-top grills
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
  • Collaborate with the culinary team, supporting colleagues and refining processes together
  • Uphold the professionalism and brand standards that define the Bistecca experience
  • Take on additional responsibilities as directed by kitchen leadership
What You Bring to the Table
  • 1+ years of culinary experience

Upscale Florentine Steakhouse

The steakhouse, named Bistecca, includes a wood fire grill and interior furnishings designed to evoke the landscapes of Italy. The use of dried herbs and a wood-fire grill gives the interior design “the Florentine earthy feel.”
