About the Job
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Restaurant General Manager to lead the daily operations of our restaurant while delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving financial performance. This leader will be responsible for creating a culture of hospitality, accountability, and teamwork while ensuring the restaurant consistently exceeds guest expectations.
The Restaurant General Manager oversees all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including staffing, training, food quality, service standards, financial performance, inventory management, and health and safety compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing people, and leads by example.
The successful candidate is a strong communicator, an effective coach, and a problem solver with a passion for hospitality. They understand that outstanding guest service begins with engaged team members and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead all daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment.
- Ensure consistent execution of food quality and service standards.
- Monitor labor, food costs, and operating expenses to achieve financial goals.
- Oversee scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and proactively.
- Partner with hotel leadership to support property-wide initiatives, events, and revenue opportunities.
- Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and implement action plans to improve profitability.
- Lead by example by maintaining a visible presence during peak business periods.

Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive restaurant management experience, with at least 2 years in a General Manager or senior leadership role.
- Proven experience leading both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including P&L management, labor controls, food cost, and budgeting.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, coach, and retain high-performing teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of guest service.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and local health department regulations.
- ServSafe Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Experience with inventory management, purchasing, scheduling, and vendor relations.
- Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.
