JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. BASIC FUNCTION:  The Spa Attendant greets clients in the locker room and introduces the facilities. They continually pick up dirty linens and take them to and from laundry. Furthermore, the attendant monitors the spa and fitness room for cleanliness, safety, and provides direction or instruction when appropriate.  

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

•Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.

•Ability to transport, handle and/or lift 25 lbs. (NOTE:  linens and fitness equipment)

•Ability to be organized and highly motivated.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•Greeting clients as they enter the Spa locker rooms.

•Providing clients with tours and information related to the Spa and its features.

•Assisting clients and guests with proper equipment usage. 

•Maintaining a well-groomed, professional appearance, which includes wearing a clean and well-kept uniform, and nametag.

•Reporting any accidents or injuries to the Security Department.

•Keeping both men and ladies spas and fitness center clean, orderly, and well stocked with necessary items.

•Making sure the pool area and locker rooms are well maintained. (ice water is full, towels are rolled and available, facilities are clean and organized) 

•Stocking the lockers with robes and slippers.

•Assist with guest check in, acting as spa concierge as needed. 

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

•Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds

•Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

•Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.

ENVIRONMENT: Spa Setting, wet floor, varied temperatures, calm and quiet setting
