$45k + Quarterly Incentive Plan (target is 20% of salary)

BASIC FUNCTION: The Wedding Sales Manager is responsible for driving and growing new wedding revenue through proactive sales and relationship management. This role focuses exclusively on the wedding market, serving as the primary contact for couples from initial contact or inquiry through contracting. Once the wedding is contracted, one of our experienced Catering Managers takes over. You’ll build strong connections with clients, guide them to the best solutions for them and The Abbey Resort as a knowledgeable consultant to start their dream Abbey wedding experience

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

1-2 years experience in wedding sales, event planning, or hospitality.

Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations and wedding event logistics.

Exceptional communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Delphi experience preferred.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet client needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Generate new wedding business through proactive prospecting, site tours, bridal shows, and community engagement.
• Manage and generate wedding inquiries, proposals, and contracts including soliciting potential weddings as well as responding to generated leads and inquiries.
• Build trusted relationships with couples, guiding them to solutions that benefit the couple and the Abbey.
• Conduct site visits to ensure every detail reflects the couple’s vision.
• Partner with catering planning, banquet, culinary and operations teams to deliver seamless wedding experiences.
• Maintain accurate client files, with an attention to a high level of detail so the transition to the planning team is seamless.
• Forecast wedding revenue and achieve/exceed budgeted sales goals.
• Represent The Abbey Resort at wedding showcases and industry events.
• Stay current with wedding trends, ensuring our offerings remain fresh and competitive.   

MARIGINAL FUNCTIONS:

• Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
• Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
• Any other task, written or verbal, assigned by Management.
• Maintain the highest level of employee/guest relations.
• Adhere to the policies of the Resort as set forth in the Employee Handbook and report any observe violations to Human Resources.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments.

ENVIORMENT: Office setting, hard surfaces with overhead artificial lighting and comfortable regulated ventilation.  Property venue touring and event oversight will include both indoor and outdoor venues, and all-weather conditions.
