The Restaurant General Manager performs a critical role on the hotel's team and is directly responsible for oversight, performance, and profitability of the restaurant, bar, and/or banquet operations.  Leading an employee- and customer-centric culture, the Restaurant General Manager promotes growth, empowerment, productivity, quality, diversity, and team achievement.  The  Restaurant General Manager supports strategic planning and execution of initiatives within the F&B department and across the entire property.

What you'll be doing...

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the F&B Department
  • Drive sales and control costs to deliver optimum business results for all areas of accountability
  • Maintain critical standards for product quality, service speed, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Recruiting, staffing, scheduling and retaining employees
  • Direct and participates in the writing of menus
  • Follow policies and procedures for the operation of the entire department to achieve profitable results
  • Ensure proper training on quality and service standards and have the tools & equipment to effectively carry out their job functions
  • Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals
  • Maintain set food and liquor costs
  • Oversee all banquets including set up, preparation, cooking and serving
  • Maintain a floor presence during needed meal periods to ensure optimal guest service

Requirements...

  • Leadership & Management Experience:
    Demonstrated success in a supervisory or management role within a hospitality or restaurant setting is essential. Strong decision-making skills, the ability to lead by example, and a focus on team development are key attributes.

  • Strategic Thinking & Operational Oversight:
    Ability to analyze operational data, manage budgets, and drive performance through strategic planning. Experience with computer-based accounting systems and budgetary analysis is required.

  • Communication Excellence:
    Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate goals and expectations. Must be fluent in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

  • Administrative & Technical Proficiency:
    Strong administrative abilities including business correspondence, basic accounting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Guest-Focused Leadership:
    A commitment to maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction through service excellence, attention to detail, and team motivation.

  • Physical Requirements:
    Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally. This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, listening, and visual acuity.

  • Education & Training:
    Some college or advanced coursework in hospitality, restaurant management, or a related field preferred. Culinary Arts training is a plus.

  • Composure Under Pressure:
    Ability to lead a team and maintain professionalism and focus during high-pressure situations.
