What you will be doing...

Our Store Supervisor brings the Starbucks experience to life by overseeing store operations, driving financial success, building great teams, and building a meeting place in their communities. They delight and uplift customers through a human connection. Their work goes beyond a perfectly made beverage; it’s about human connection. They enjoy being able to achieve these aspirations autonomously, while adhering to Starbucks, Hotel Leveque and First Hospitality (FH) standards. The most prominent responsibilities include:

  • Control aspects of the store operation, including overseeing day to day operations, handling expenses, scheduling based on budget and customer needs, payroll, and cost control systems, ensuring the department is maximizing revenue opportunities and achieving budgeted operating results.
  • Ensure that a well-trained, highly motivated staff anticipates guest needs and provides a unique experience.
  • Communicate and work directly with all departments to deliver memorable experiences to our guests.
  • Execute month end inventory procedures
  • Design and implement systems and training to provide a guest experience that is exactly like nothing else.
  • Train and coach Starbucks staff on service execution, guest satisfaction, and service recovery.
  • Maintain a floor presence to ensure optimal guest service
  • Assist in the recruiting and hiring process including job requisitions, interviews and onboarding.

Each day the Starbucks Store Supervisor is expected to model the professionalism we want from all our stars, connect with the stars within your department and understand what motivates each of them, and involve them in both the day-to-day process as well as the big picture. We expect that your experience tells you when to jump in and assist and when to empower the stars to handle issues.

The Starbucks Supervisor will report to the Director of Food & Beverage and will be held responsible to guest scores, associate feedback scores, and department budget.

Success Factors...

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Experience leading a food and beverage team
  • Experience with Micros or comparable systems
  • Previous hotel experience a plus
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Experience setting expectations and holding team members accountable to them
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor team partners with professional maturity
  • Knowledge of sales/revenue metrics and how they directly impact those numbers
  • Entrepreneurial mentality with experience in a sales focused environment
  • A flexible schedule based on hotel needs. Be able and willing to work flexible shift times, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to stand and walk for hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, bending, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Ability to work calmly under stressful situations.
  • Must maintain high level of guest satisfaction at all times.
  • SERV Safe certification preferred
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
