The Starbucks Manager's primary function is to create the Starbucks experience for our customers and hotel guests. A passion for enhancing customer experience along with having a high attention to detail while leading the team.

What you'll be doing...

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Starbucks within Hilton at McCormick Place.
  • Ensure all Barista checklists and programs are followed and reviewed daily, work to confirm processes have been followed and work is error free.
  • Manage all daily tasks for Starbucks Baristas including conducting daily pre-shift meetings and/or work huddles.
  • Maintain accurate records including cash handling, credit card receipts and reconciliation following Starbucks brand and Hiltons at McCormick Place standards for cash handling, posting charges, safe deposits, and refunds resolving billing discrepancies as needed; count assigned bank or cash drawer at the beginning or end of each shift; ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift team members.
  • Executes store operations of Starbucks location including understanding and having the ability to perform all required operating duties.
  • Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Responsible for interview and selection of new team members, processing of payroll, conducting performance appraisals and administering corrective action according to Hiltons at McCormick Place policies.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior


  • Two to three years minimum experience at a Starbucks in a supervisory or above capacity.
  • Thorough understanding of Starbucks operational polices and procedures as well as products.
  • Ability to manage change effectively with clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze data figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, etc.
